Dutch amateur photographer, Nick Van Amstel captured the moment Oxpeckers fed from the nose, ears and skin of a Buffalo who didn't seem to mind. Amstel was on safari in Tanzania when he took the pictures. Oxpeckers feed mostly on the parasites found on large mammals like buffaloes, giraffes and zebra. They are a species of bird that live in sub-Saharan Africa and most commonly feed on impala, as they carry a vast amount of ticks. See more photos after the cut...
