More than 80,000 people as at 12pm today have signed a petition, including almost 17,000 in the last hour calling on the British Government to ban U.S presidential candidate Donald Trump from entering Britain after his 'hate speech' in which he said some policemen in London fear for their lives and don't enter some sections of London, saying sections of the city are highly radicalized.
'We have places in London and other places that are so radicalized that police are afraid for their own lives.' Donald Trump said
The Republican candidate also suggested a complete ban on the immigration of Muslims into the U.S.
British politicians David Cameron, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon, Boris Johnson and even Scotland Yard issued strongly-worded condemnation describing him as a 'hate preacher' for his 'obnoxious, repellent and dangerous' outbursts
A petition on the UK government website to ban Trump from Britain on the grounds of hate speech said:
'The UK has banned entry to many individuals for hate speech. The same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK. If the United Kingdom is to continue applying the "unacceptable behaviour" criteria to those who wish to enter its borders, it must be fairly applied to the rich as well as poor, and the weak as well as powerful.'
If it reaches more than 100,000 it will be considered for debate in Parliament.
As a response to the San Benardino and Paris Terror attacks, in a statement released to the media, Trump said he was;
'calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.
'I think that we should definitely disallow any Muslims from coming in. Any of them. The reason is simple: we can't identify what their attitude is.'
