Fani-kayode Respond To Bianca Ojukwu’s Threats

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has replied Bianca Ojukwu over her threat to sue him, if he fails to retract his 'libellous publication' about her within seven days.
Mrs. Ojukwu had on fridaymorning vowed to drag Fani-Kayode to court for claiming to have dated her as a spinster in an article published by Fani-Kayode few weeks ago, inan attempt to exonerate himself of being tribalistic over the Lagos deportation saga.
Reacting to Bianca's threat, Fani-Kayode in a statement made available through his Press Secretary, Mr. Bisi Lawal said the matter has since been referred to his lawyers who will now take it up.
The statement reads, "This morning Cheif Femi Fani-Kayode woke up to find a letter that was published as an advertorial in Thisday Newspaper purportedly by Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu's lawyer threatening to sue him for mentioning her inhis article and claiming that she has never met him before. She also said that he was being malicious. The matter has of course been reffered to Chief Fani-Kayode's lawyers who will now take it up.
"Ordinarily, he would not have said a word about this matter because he sympathises with her for whatever she may have been going through.
"However, now that she has put it in the public realm, Chief Fani-Kayode is compelled to formally respond. To the assertion that he never knew her and that they were never friends, he says this is falseand he asks why would he lie? The public evidence is to the contrary. Chief Fani-Kayode would not want to say anythingto embarrass her because that would be ungentlemanly.
"
He sympathises with her delicate situation and once again he expresses his regrets about the fact that his statement about her was misconstrued. We shall just leave it at that," the statement added.
It was gathered however that Fani-Kayode has enough proofs regarding his relationshipwith former beauty Queen and may be forced to roll them out should the case go beyond this stage. Whatever the outcome, we shall bring you reactions as they come.

You were attracted to Selly and later to Dillish. Who were you really attracted to?

I don't fall in love and I didn't see myself falling in love in the house. Love just doesn't happen.For me, love is a gradual process. That was why I didn't 'toast' anybody.

First it was Gulder Ultimate Search and later Mr. Nigeria and now Big Brother. Do we see you go into any competition again?

Ah! I have tried o. I am not the only one in Nigeria. I don't intend to go into any other competition. I would just use this platform I have now to move my career. I have been finishing as a runner up in all this shows. But I am not jinxed. It is not easy to be in this competition. It has a little bit of psychological effect on you but it is all good. That you didn't finish first doesn't mean that you are not good enough. I look at the positive side. I will not sulk but I will keep doing what I have to do.

What do you intend to do after now?

I am going to take my acting career to greater heights. I was an actor before I got into the house. I think that my acting career will go up.

"I Never Had Sex With Angelo And I’m Sorry For Embarrassing Nigerians" – Beverly Osu

Nigeria's representatives in the just concluded Big Brother Africa reality TV show, Beverly Osu and Melvin Oduah were presented to the media at the Protea Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos last Thursday after theirtriumphant return to thecountry.
The two ex-housemates recounted their personal experiences in the Big Brother House.
Beverly was the first to put the record straight , as she denied having sex in the House with her South African counterpart, Angelo.
She however, confirmed that her relationship with Angelo was real.

In BBA House

The experience was awesome.Though it was challenging, God really saw me through. It is something everybody should look forward to participating in. I don't believe I was cheated during the grand finale. Housemates from West Africa were not only united but, we dominated the House.
Whoever won the show really deserved to win. For me and Melvin, having made it to thefinals, we are equally winners in our own rights. At least, we brought something home to show for our efforts.
Having sex with South Africa's Angelo!
I did not have sex in the House. I had a relationship with Angelo Collins but we did not have sex. I loved him and I still love him. I am a blunt person and very real. People thatknew me before BBA know that I don't pretend to be who I am.
If it happens, you fall in love, you can't fake it. I did not have sex with Angelo. I was under the bathtube, but we never had sex.Maybe, the camera made it look so. Everybody gets naked to have their bath, so I don't think it is wrong for me to be naked when I have my bath too.
There was no way. I couldn't be different because I went for a reality show. So, I shouldnot be judged by what people saw during the show since I didn't intentionally bring out my video for all to see. .Big brother did that.

Winning strategy

I am a very blunt person. Melvin can testify tothis claim because he stayed with me for ninety one days in the House. I was only talking to my fellow Housemates. And I don't regret anythin I said about myself and my family. This is because if I have to be on this platform, people have to know the real me and what I have been through.

On her plans for the future

I'll continue with my online reality show "Beverly Says" and I'll complete my education. I also intend to go into acting. I'm a 200 level student of the National Open University of Nigeria, where I am studying Mass Communication.

My mum's reaction

My mum has tutored me very well. Even if the whole world rejects me today, my mum can't reject me. I love my mum so much. I'm her only daughter and the last child in the family. I have always been there for her, just as she has always been there for me. I will not disappoint my mum intentionally by saying she this or she's that…

Embarrassing Nigerians

I don't feel happy about it because this is the first time, I represented the country in any continental competition. But the fact remains that if you didn't go for it, you wouldn't know how it's in the House. I wasn't there with my cell phone to be able to communicate with the outside world. I was just there alone. I'm sorry for embarrassing my country. I didn't doit intentionally. My participation in the show was not to embarrass my country. I am a proud Nigerian.

Lagos Ranked 4th Worst City In The World

According to Economist Intelligence Unit, EIU, an independent forecasting and advisory business within the Economist Group, Lagos is the fourth worst city in the world.
And its top worst cities, are scattered around Africa and Asia.
Lagos, the fourth on the list, shares its 137 position with Port Moresby, in Papua New Guinea on 38.9 percent.
The report made available yesterday described Lagos as the second-fastest growing city in Africa and the fourth worst city on earth.
"Rapid growth is not always a good thing because Lagos is now a magnet for two perpetual threats to peace: pirates and Islamist warriors.Boko Haram have a problem with cities like Lagos and also lots of weaponry. Pirates threaten trade and use kidnapping as a method of funding. Islamist terrorist groups such as Boko Haram ("Education is forbidden") want to create their own version of heaven on earth by destroying cities such as Lagos and imposing strict sharia law. Lagos has enormous potential but as yet little to show for it – hence its poor ranking," the report said.
EIU in its 2013 annual survey of the world's 140 major metropolises, said Lagos has a long way to go politically, socially and economically before it joins the emerging market club. Eko oni baje o :(

A fortnight ago when star actress, Lola Alao, got married in far- flung Atlanta, United States of America, USA, to Adewale Yakubu Adewale Ajibola, the couple, literally, could not contain their excitement.
Lola was positively glowing in her creamy wedding dress while Yakubu sporting a bespoke grey suit, wore a disarming smile.

convinced of his claim that he was innocent.
A ring of 'scammers' had some months before his arrival, operated in the same manner and went away with their loot in the Middle East
commercial city.
Unsuspectingly, Yakubu walked into a booby trap.
While Wale Yakubu Ajibola, the Nigerian-born American citizen served terms for one year, the Big Sam turned the other cheek.
Lola, who is hell-bent on getting a husband, was not too lucky last year when her hatched plot to marry another Nigerian based in Europe was
thwarted by her first husband, Dare Ogunlana, who unleashed a media attack on her. Meanwhile, Lola found a close ally in another actress, Bukky
Wright, also married to a US-based Nigerian, Wale Onitilo.
Lola and Bukky seem to be best friends in real life because their chemistry comes through effortlessly.
Since her marriage to US-based lover and car dealer, Dare Ogunlana, broke up, the Kogi-born actress has met a few men but she has not been
quite lucky to have one of them put a ring on it.
Bukky, we reliably gathered has been concerned and busy setting Lola up on dates with non-famous friends and some buddies of her current
hubby. She wanted Lola to have her kind of relationship that will guarantee American citizenship status.
When Yakubu walked in, it was a willing and desperate Lola he met and, trust her, she quickly hung on tight. Sources disclosed that while he was
cooling his feet in the Kuwaiti authorities' cell, Lola scampered for his release by consulting marabouts widely.
They were constantly in touch on phone and gradually they built the affection.
On release some months ago, after serving terms in Kuwait for one year, she sent him a ticket to come home, made few appearances at functions
that were private and they bonded before he returned to the United States to prepare for the August wedding.
While Lola has taken the highroad by walking down the aisle with Yakubu, brimming with broad smiles that she has found love and a good
match, observers of Nollywood marriages and the rate at which it dissolves, feel Lola may have finally found a big catch to perfect her plans for an American citizenship status.
Yakubu, E24-7 MAGAZINE'S checks revealed, has never been married but he has three kids, including a set of twins from two women among his strings of ladies.
From his profile, though he claimed to be an ICT expert, he is not quite buoyant financially and his recent incarceration in Kuwait has not helped. There is no record of an apartment in his name; the newly married couple are guests in one of the hubby's relations' house in Atlanta. Prior to his ill-fated venture in Kuwait, he is said to have been living off his relations in California before life threw terrible storms at him and he moved to Houston.
In his bid to survive, he crossed to Atlanta where he allegedly joined the credit scam racket popularly known as 'Track 1, Track 2′.
For Lola, it has been a tortuous and lonely journey with her 10-year- old daughter, Omowunmi from her first marriage with Dare.
As she stepped out from the depths of despair to happily ever after, it is not clear if Dare will not sue her for bigamy as their marriage
consummated in Nigeria has not been officially dissolved.
Lola and Yakubu are expected in Nigeria soon.

JJ Okocha joins Nollywood, produces movie about Majek Fashek

New reports surfacing online, claim that our dear Nigerian football legend Austin JJ Okocha is currently producing a movie about reggae star Majek Fashek.
The movie's screen play is reportedly written by Charles Novia, and features Fracis Duru as Majek Fasek, Sam Dede, Stella Damascus and other top Nollywood actors.
Confirming the reports, Charles Novia says the movie is shooting on 35mm and took about 3 years to fine-tune. It is presently at its pre-
production stage, after which the crew will travel to New York in October to shoot the America scene, which is the major part of the film.
Fracis Duru, as it was gathered has been undergoing guitar lessons, and extensive study of Majek's character for the past eight month to fit the
role.

Back to Stella Damasus' write up. We are not all perfect. That said, when a Musician writes a love song, do you stop listening to the love song or letting the lyrics connect to your relationship because the singer has divorced 8times or has not been able to hold a relationship longer than 3 months? ‘Frank Edoho And I Should Never Have Gotten Married’ – Katherine Obiang

In a compelling exclusive interview with TheNetng, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' host Frank Edoho's wife, Katherine Obiang, who has three kids for the TV host talked about her 7-year old marriage to Frank. How itshould never have been, how they should have rather stayed friends.
*.How are your kids?
They are great.
*.And how are they taking the whole divorce issue?
We are not really divorced. It's still a work-in-progress kind of thing but we are taking it well. When its time for him to see the children, he does and when its time to return them, he does. On my part, I have carried the children along and make them understand they are not stained because of it. I wouldn't want them to develop a complex because of it. We didn't design for these things to happenbut they do. It's like people who have lost their parents, they didn't plan for it but they have to move on. I watch them and I think they are doing pretty okay especially becausewe talk about it every time there isa reason to.
*.You mentioned that you aren't really divorced. Does that suggest possibility of reconciliation?
No, it doesn't. We just started the process but there isn't any hope for reconciliation. We know we would always be in each other's lives because of the children, so we have to be civil. When the children are getting marriedfor example, we have to hide our differences and make it work.
*.What if he (Frank) came back, would you consider it?
No. Three years have gone by. It will be a whole entire process of knowing somebody allover again and I don't have the energy to do that. We've let it burn and I don't think he will do that.
*.Do you sometimes miss him?
He had such a great sense of humor. I don't know if he still does. His sense of music too,being a radio presenter, and we used to exchange thoughts on things regarding that, but otherwise, I don't miss him in that nostalgic way of…It's a part of my life I have come to terms with. I am a solution oriented person. He was part of my life for more than 10 years (dated for four years and got marriedfor 7 years).
*.Looking back at everything, do you wish younever got separated?
No, I think Frank and I should not have gotten married in the first place. We shouldjust have been friends because he was an awesome friend. While I was dating someone else and he had to go back to his country, he (Frank) was there all through and I had known him all the while he was in the University of Calabar and we started our career together. I think we shouldn't have pushed it to marriage and just stayed as friends.
*.Any regrets about that?
No. I have three lovely kids to show for it and of course, every thing happens for a reason and a purpose. They can only make us better or stronger people and it has done so for me. Ihave grown from what went wrong.
*.What is usually the cause of the fight?
I think it's impatience, anger and not knowing how to deal with issue in the now, so you react before you think. It goes like, 'huh, how dare you say this to me…is that what you will say?' I can't remember any one in particular, it has been long now, I have moved on and it'snot a thing that can happen to me again but I always say no matter what, a man should not raise his hands on a woman. A woman should also not goad a man too much. It takes nothing from the man who walks away because once he hits a woman, he starts to think it is justifiable. Unfortunately, we are in a society where we have friends that will give you thumbs up for doing that. A man should be calmer and not react on the now.
*.Are you making efforts to ensure that your son isn't wrongly influenced by this?
I have a son and I talk to him all the time. I lethim know he must be there to protect his sister. They should look at him and feel safe with him and he knows that. The girls also push him and I caution them, so it's a balance.
*.Were you hit by the rumors of his recent marriage?
I didn't want to believe he was because we are still married (legally). We are not divorced, so I didn't see how that was possibleand didn't loose sleep over it. I'm not asking him not to go on with his life butthings should be done properly. We are separated for three years and now in the divorce process. If he found happiness and love, then I'm happy for him.
*.Will you be trying your hands on marriage again?
You just never know.
*.If you would, what kind of man would he be?
You come to a point in your life where you can't afford to do things out of adrenaline but with great thought. It would be a more matureperson, someone who is calm and has a fine sense of how life should be. Someone who is mature, wise and seen life and the ways of the world and knows what he is doing at everytime.
*.When you think about all that has happened,does it bring tears to your eyes?
No, I feel a sense of disappointment instead especially now when the children come home with questions that I need a man to answer, if he (their father) were around. Forexample, someone to be there for my son at a time when he is writing his common entrance examination. It's a feeling of disappointment, but you know, we have to rise above them and you go on.
*.What was your reaction the very first time it happened?
I'm like these things happen in marriages but we think of reconciliation and getting families involved. It is your first trial in marriage and nobody gives a guideline about how things aregoing to be.
*.Apart from being part of the Project Alert, what other steps have you taken to help women who are battling with domestic violence?
I talk to them but in the end, I let them know, the decision is theirs. A friend of mine was involved in this and after we talk, she will go back to him. No matter what platform there is,it rests on the individual. It is what I have arrived at. I still share my story when I have the chance to.
