Guardiola matches Conte's Premier League record

Pep Guardiola has won a third straight Premier League manager of the month award after guiding Manchester City to a record
15th straight league win.

Guardiola led City to winning all their games in the month of November, and has been duly given the monthly award, making it a hattrick – after he won on September and October. In the month in question, Guardiola's men recorded wins over Arsenal, Leicester, Huddersfield and Southampton as they continued their outstanding start to the season.

Guardiola topped a six-man shortlist to land the November award and become the second manager ever to win it three straight times.

Chelsea's Antonio Conte, Burnley's Sean Dyche, Man United's Jose Mourinho, Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and Arsenal's Arsene Wenger were the other managers nominated.

Conte is the only other man to have won three straight Manager of the Month awards - in October, November and December of 2016. Conte's Chelsea side had recorded 13 successive victories en route to the league title.

With victories over West Ham, United and Swansea already in December, Guardiola could well become the first man ever to win the award four straight times.

November's award is the fourth in total for Guardiola since arriving in England. He received it in February 2017 during his first season in charge of City.
