and one of her sons, over the killing of her estranged husband whom they poured acid on so as to make it difficult for him to be identified, the pair have been found guilty.
The woman, Laura Rideout, 46, and her son, Colin Rideout, 23, were convicted on Tuesday of second-degree murder and evidence tampering for the murder of 50-year-old Craig Rideout, whose body was later found in the Finger Lakes region last year.
According to prosecutors, the deceased was strangled and beaten inside his home on July 20, 2016. This was the exact time the couple were going through a contentious divorce.
