The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II is closing the year with yet another reason to celebrate. Yesterday, the daughter of the Islamic ruler, Shahida Sanusi, welcomed her first child – a daughter – with beau Abdulkadir Baba-Ahmed.
This comes just a month after the news surfaced that the ruler was giving out his daughter, Fulani Sidika, who is the daughter of the ruler's first wife, to Malam Abubakar Umar Kurfi, at a reception in their home state, Kano.
The new parents – Shahida Sanusi and Abdulkadir Baba-Ahmed – got married this January.
