"As much as I would like to ignore the current issue on hemp, I think I owe well-meaning people some clarification. It is so easy the misconception that can come from a picture- the genius of technology. If you cannot find me holding a wrap of marijuana then you may want to slow down on your assumptions. We shouldn't use our platforms to spread half-truths.
A fan wrote those words with herbs on my birthday on instagram, and I replied: "Thank you #teampoko". Now how does someone else's action become my crime? If I said those words ('Mi smoke gaja mi smoke weed while my hatez smoke ma gossip' ) I will stand by them but I didn't, and just because it is convenient for people to believe the lies still doesn't make it the truth. The whole thing is falsified by people who just love to have fun at others expense.
Let's put some thought to some of the things we write. Don't do cut-and-paste. The original pictures are there to see; but no! That is too boring to be the truth. Photographer Sues Tuface, Wife For N120m Over Wedding Pictures
Abuja based photographer, Emmanuel Okolo, who is the plaintiff in the suit alongside his studio, Papilonmexy filed suit against the defendants.
He is asking for six reliefs, two of which include N100 million in general damages and N20million in exemplary damages.
At the resumed hearing of the case yesterday, neither TuFace nor his wife was represented in court. Anifite who is the second defendant was however represented by his counsel, J.O Uttute.
Meanwhile, a mild drama ensued when the judge openly admonished Uttute after the latter claimed that he had filed his defence when he had not done so.
The judge warned him not to come to this court again if he was not prepared for the case. "You told me that you have filed your response, but looking through here, there is nothing to that effect. And you are even smiling. Do you think you are here to joke? Never come to this court again if you are not prepared. You don't even know when the case was filed and you are not prepared for it," said the judge.
Also, the plaintiff's counsel, Habeeb Oredola expressed worry over the defendants' inability to appear before the court or be represented by a counsel after they were served with the writs of summon.
In the writ of summon, Okolo and his studio claimed they were contracted by TuFace's wife through a third party, identified as Ms Chineze Anyaene to take photo shots at the traditional wedding held in Eket, Akwa Ibom state in March, 2013.
The plaintiff said, he was reluctant at the beginning since the offer was coming through a third party, but later accepted after he was convinced that the offer was actually with the blessing of the first defendant.
Annie Idibia was said to have later contacted the photographer after the wedding and demanded for the printing of 10 of the high resolution pictures taken.

£3,000 Visa Bond: We will Retaliate, FG Warns British Government
Nigeria was said to have made this known during a private meeting between Foreign Affairs Minister, Olugbenga Ashiru, and British High Commissioner, Andrew Pocock, in Abuja.
The PUNCH had reported exclusively on Tuesday that the Federal Government summoned Pocock over the policy which it said was capable of harming the existing cordial relationship between the two countries.
Nigeria is one of the six countries whose nationals would be required to pay the £3,000 bond under a proposed policy that will take effect in November. The others areIndia, Bangledish, Ghana, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
It was gathered that Pocock admitted at the meeting with Ashiru that the UK planned to introduce the "financial bond as a way of tackling abuse in the immigration system", but added, "No final decision has been made."
Ashiru, who was said to have recalled the days when nationals of Commonwealth travelled freely to the UK and other memberstates, expressed displeasure over the policy which he described as not only "discriminatory but capable of undermining the spirit of the Commonwealth family."
A source privy to the meeting said, "The minister conveyed the reservations of the Federal Government to Pocock, who said the policy was still a proposal. The minister reminded him of British investments in Nigeria and vice-versa.

Golden, encouraged by his friends, had the 'golden' opportunity to freestyle on stage just like many other upcomers who came to show their talent. But after witnessing his performance, Gbenga Adeyinka, the gregarious MC who isn't easily impressed, quickly promised to personally introduce him to M.I when the prolific rapper eventually got on stage.
The 400 level student studying Estate Management at Imo State University who also happens to be the Director of Socials of his institution is an amazing bundle of talent, spitting lyrics viciously and free styling in a unique and appealing way which caught the attention of thousands of music fans at 'The Trek' as well as Chocolate City boss, MI.
M.I called Busta to join him on stage during his set; allowing the young rapper freestyle before the thousands of fans at Heroes Square.
The rapper without hesitation removed his jacket handing it over to the elated upcomer… perhaps passing over a mantle??
"Music is seriously what I want to do for a lifetime," the young man says emphatically. "It's what I'm passionate about and to have this boost so early on…it's unbelievable," he added.
Well there's no doubt that MI's evocative prayers for him on that stage will certainly prove to be an enormous boost as he proclaimed to X Busta with a bow "May God keep you, may God bless you. Everything I have achieved will be your beginning."
Busta, apparently ,is yet to step off cloud nine "It's about the most unreal thing in the world. I don't know anybody here and I don't know any member of MI's crew. One minute, I'm in the crowd chillin' with my friends and the next minute I'm right next to MI on stage, performing Nobody Test Me together.This is the stuff dreams are made of."

Despite the poor weather and threatening rain, the crowd refused to leavethe concert venue until the very last note, forcing the night's stars to extend their sets to satisfy eager fans who attended from Owerri, Abia, Enugu, Aba, Nnewi and other surrounding communities.

Nigerian actress, Laide Bakare, who has been enmeshed in a paternity mess with two men, has finally reacted to the claims by her estranged husband, Olumide Okunfulire, that he would challenge her for a DNA to determine the true father of her new baby.
In an interview with a popular Lagos gossip magazine, City People, Laide claimed her ex-husband must be "mad and oozing from chronic drunkenness' for him to have ask her to do a DNA to know who the father of her new baby truly is.
"Ordinarily," the actress stated, "I would not believe all the stories of him saying those rubbish in the media," she said.
Laide further observed that, "maybe he was being pushed to say those things by those who know nothing about how we lived together or, maybe, they just want to put him in a big trouble."
She declared that if truly Okunfulire asked for a DNA, then he "must have gone mad and must be oozing from chronic drunkenness." Laide dared her ex-hubby to "go ahead if he really meant it but I'm sure he has run mad."

Dbanj's DKM concert successfully went down at the Eko hotel and suites last night.
Even though the event kicked off a little later than scheduled - due to the football match being played (Nigeria versus Spain) - there were
no dull moments.
The show kicked off with a beautiful opening from Tolu Oniru - Toolz and real housewives' Kenya Moore, followed by back to back
performances from Samklef, DRB Lasgidi, Sean Tizzle, Fally Ipupa, Mafikhozolo from South Africa, Olamide, Kaywsitch and rapper

these artistes would be present at the concert.
Laide Bakare May Go To Jail
The last may not have been heard in the ongoing war between Nollywood popular actress, Laide Bakare and her estranged husband, Olumide Okunfulire. This is because US-based businessman has vowed to slug it out with the delectable actress over the paternity of the child she claimed to have bore for her new hubby, Tunde Oriowo.
The Ondo State-born dude has reportedly told his lawyers to institute a lawsuit against Laide. Olumighty, as Okunfulire is fondly called by friends, allegedly said that Laide will have to answer if truly she got court judgement, which dissolved their marriage before she got married to Oriowo, her new husband.
Olumide maintained that Laide's new baby boy belongs to him, adding that she became pregnant in his house. He also claimed that the actress registered at the US hospital, where she eventually gave birth, with his name and Green Card.
With the way things are going, Laide might be charged for bigamy and if found guilty by the court, she risks jail term.
Industry sources told us that Okunfulire may drop charges against Laide if the actress realises her mistakes and beg for forgiveness.
"I can tell you that Olumide (Okunfulire) is only trying to shake Laide. He just wants to make life unbearable for her, Laide is aware of this, which is why she has not responded to the 'noise' Olumide has been making since the news of her child birth hit town," a source informed us.
Meanwhile, those in the camp of Laide have disclosed that Tunde is the real father of the baby. They claimed that Laide and Tunde had been an item for sometime before they decided to solemnise the relationship with a secret wedding and that she was actually pregnant for him before then. Pictures were sent to us to back up the claim. The actress is still in the USA with her baby and new husband as at press time.

Nigerians Will Have to Pay a £3,000 Fee to Visit UK
Visitors from Nigeria and other "high risk" countries in Asia and Africa will be forced to pay a £3,000 cash bond before they can enter United Kingdom.
From November, a pilot scheme will target visitors from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Ghana who will have to pay the UK government a form of cash guarantee or deposit to deter immigration abuse. They will forfeit the £3,000 if they overstay in Britain and fail to return to their home countries by the time their visa has expired.
The controversial move by the UK home secretary, Theresa May, to introduce the Australian-style system reflects her determination to show that the Conservatives are serious about cutting immigration in the UK.
Ms May said: "This is the next step in making sure our immigration system is more selective, bringing down net migration from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of thousands, while still welcoming the brightest and the best to Britain."
She added: "In the long run, we're interested in a system of bonds that deters overstaying and recovers costs if a foreign national has used our public services."
The Home Office is targeting countries which have high volumes of visitor visa applications and what it deems to be relatively high levels of fraud and abuse.
